Gaurdak, Turkmenistan

The town of Gaurdak in the eastern end of Turkmenistan is basically situated on the foothills of the Pamir between Amu Darya and Uzbekistan.
This area’s breathtaking scenery is very stunning, with all the spectacular and impressive gorges and cascades and cave areas. Kugitang Reserve is a big geological research center immediately on the frontier of Uzbekistan, which boasts a rugged plateau with hundreds of dinosaur’s remains.

The plateau used to be a basement of a large sea lagoon, which dried up but wet sand like concrete, retains the traces of all the animals that happened to cross, according to geological studies of more than 150 millions years ago during the Jura period.
